“Willy Street in the 70’s – Changing the World through Art”
Madison, WI, 4/12/2010: The Williamson Street Art Center announces an exhibit of graphic works at the Social Justice Center , 1202 Williamson St, Jackie Macaulay Gallery.
• April 12, 2010 – May 31,2010
• This project celebrates the history of Willy St in the 70’s, a place where Madison’s own counter-culture artists and social activists found cheap rent and minimal restriction on their artistic and political activity.
• This exhibit features original work from a generation whose hallmark was hope.
• Also join us May 7 at 6pm for the dedication of the new mural at the Social Justice Center.
